WE ARE THE OETKENS

We were high school sweethearts who are enjoying 40+ years of marriage. In 1975, we moved to central Idaho, built a log home, cattle ranched and taught our sons to appreciate Idaho’s great outdoors. In 1985, we opened a Coeur d’Alene based computer business specializing in networking, CAD/CAM, and also pioneered the Internet into the Coeur d’Alene market. Our Boise branch office became the largest Tektronix printer dealer in Idaho, and sons Mark and Brent were instrumental in that success.

 

We sold our successful business in 1998, and traveled the United States to see if there was a better place to reside. We soon discovered that Coeur d’Alene is unsurpassed for quality of life and achieving those dreams. Coeur d’Alene has proven to be a great place to raise our family, build a business, and watch our grandchildren grow.


Idaho offers breathtaking scenery, year-round recreation, and abundant opportunities to experience living at its very best. The Coeur d’Alene Area has been recognized by national press as a destination that offers the best in lifestyle and livability.

REMEMBERING BROWSER


If you had the pleasure of knowing our Schnauzer BROWSER, you know that over the years, he was our faithful Little Buddy, as well as our unofficial Public Relations Rep. Browser always helped us “Put our Best Paw Forward”. We featured him in our print, billboard and electronic advertizing. He was possibly the most famous dog in Idaho.

Sadly, BROWSER passed earlier this year. Although we miss him very much, we are so grateful for the years and blessings of his precious friendship. (In Loving Memory of Browser)

INTRODUCING TRAKKER

 

TRAKKER on Adoption Day

We’re so tickled to introduce you to the newest member of our family! TRAKKER is a Black-and-Silver Miniature Schnauzer. He arrived on August 5 & joined us in late September, 2011, about a month earlier than we had been expecting.

Of course, we will be training him up RIGHT: from Day One, he will be learning how to sniff out great Real Estate opportunities for our client friends. Like Browser before him, Tracker will share every part of our lives in the office, as well as in our home. Come share in our joy! We do hope you will stop by to meet our new little buddy some time very soon. Schnauzers need lots of socialization – please help us get him acclimated.

And so, we embark (pun…intended!) upon a new, yet familiar adventure.

Poem For A New Puppy Owner
Don’t smell crotches, don’t eat plants.
Don’t steal food or underpants.
Don’t eat my socks, don’t grab my hair.
Don’t rip the stuffing from that chair!
Don’t eat those peas! Don’t touch that bush!
Don’t chew my shoes. What IS that mush?
Eat your cookies. Drink your drink,
Outta the toilet! Outta the sink!
Away from the cat box, it’s for the cat!
And MUST you kiss me after that?
Yes, raising a puppy, is not for the lazy!
Though puppies are funny, they’re also quite crazy.
But don’t despair, though its toil and strife.
After three years, you’ll get back your life!
So, let’s go for “walkies”, you can “do your thing”
And perhaps I’ll get back my good diamond ring!
